Question Hyperion 1420i - "Output voltage too high" (solved)

Hi folks,

I have a problem charging 2S lipos that started 2 days ago, I get "output voltage too high" error when it start charging.
This happens only with 2s lipos; The 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s are charging and balancing with no problem!

The 2s battery is ok, because I can charge it with another charger!
I'm doing something wrong to charge 2s batteries?
I double checked the parameters before start charge, (2s, 1300mah, 1.3A for charge, etc)

Any ideas?
Thanks

I found the problem!!!

A component called MOSFET IRF4905 got shorted,
after I let the leads from output port touch my car, while the charger was still powered, causing a spark.

Default Hyperion 1420i HELP

I just read your post on the "output voltage too high" Can you give me any more information on this? Are you sure that this fixed the problem. Did you just open it up and remove the old one and solder the new one in place?

I plug in my 2 cell batteries and it immediately kicks it out saying output voltage too high.

Its killing me.

Please let me know.

Thanks

That's the one I went with and fixed my 1420i. It works like new and will charge, discharge, store charge or cycle anything I throw at it. Thanks nivaldin.
