Here at Lynx Heli Innovations we are helicopter pilots and fly the same models you do. We also watch what is happening at the field.
In response to comments regarding the Goblin 700 head dampers, we are pleased to announce we have completed testing on all new dampers for the Goblin 700. Our new design features a unique o-ring system which pre-loads the spindle shaft and bearings. The actual damper is of a semi-rigid design – well suited to high headspeeds and aggressive flight. Watch out for these soon on the Lynx website www.lynxheli.com ![]()

Just one of the many test flight sessions. We used many pilots and many different Goblins to perfect these dampers..... Here you can see the special o-ring which provides damper pre-load: ![]() And here the damper is installed: ![]()

These dampers are proving very popular, and everyone is loving them!
Just a reminder - on the Goblin 630 we would recommend running 2350 rpm and on the Goblin 700 2300-2350 rpm. These dampers are designed for high rpm use - you may have some head shake at lower rpm......

Will be getting a couple sets of these ASAP.
Hope to have a feild test soon.. BTW those headspeeds sound insane. Will be trying them but at the SAB specified headspeeds. 2300 is perfect for the 630 and 2200 for the 700 are the sweet spots.

You should be good to go with those HS Ceevee, they were designed for that.

How are you going with your lynx dampers?
Keen to run lower head speeds but get a bob below about 1800. Maybe these are better? Or just go straight to the HPS head? Do you still use the Lynx dampers in the HPS head? Cheers |
