Why are you guys still hard-wire your transmitter to computer when you could use a wireless Simulator Adapter instead? not only it is a lot safer for your radio, but also offers you the convenience of flying without having to stand too close to the screen.

There are different options available out there. I have two of these devices; one I bought from Ikarus and another from hobbyking. Both work perfectly fine.

I like using a corded connection, because in this case, the Tx's internal radio is off and the battery seemingly lasts forever. Also, since I'm only using a 13" laptop, I need to have my eyes within 24" of the screen anyway to see the simulated heli. Sadly I have no need for the freedom of movement that a wireless adapter offers.

Now if I had a giant computer monitor and the room to move back away from it, I think a wireless adapter would be GREAT!

Crap my DX9's screen went out this morning too. Wish I had heard about this. I was using Real Flight 7.5 w/Interface cable. Luckily I got a DX6 for back up!

Remove the SD card and try to power it again and see if it resolves the issue

Sorry to hear that. I was lucky enough to catch this thread in time. But it does mean when I travel I have to take another Tx to sim.

Many times it's just the crappy SD card that comes with this TX causing the issue which is not required to have plugged in to power the TX, but it sounds like in your case it's time to send it back to HH if removing it did nothing.

I really think it is a static charge issue because I was discharging alot that morning. I was by a radiant heater (1500 watts ), on high, and in a cold room too with the computer and TX.

Is it even possible to buy just the new Real Flight wireless link? I can not find it for sale only online? I would LOVE to go wireless.
