tail spinning unless gyro in reverse

I just finished changing my cyclics to HS65's but left the stock tail servo and gyro for now, figure I'm better to learn more before I change those. I did get a bit mixed up when had changed the servos, but finally got the swash directions correct. Now the tail is spinning once I start giving throttle input, I checked over settins, the gyro and rudder are in N setting, pitch is R along w/ Elevator, throttle and aileron in N... any idea why the gyro needs to be switched to reverse to get the tail to stay stable?

Must have been the day for it, I fitted HS65 cyclics today as well.

My setup:

Thro-N, Elev-R, Gyro-N, Aile-N, Pitch-R I am running a 3500G for tail so Rudder is N but with the stock servo I think it should be R in the Tx and Nor on the gyro switch for compensation.

Don't worry if it's Norm or Rev in either the tx or the gryo. Just set it to what works.

Tx should be set to whatever makes the slider move the opposite direction of the stick movement.
Gyro should be set to whatever makes the slider move in the opposite direction you're moving the tail.

If they're both Norm and it works that's fine.
If they're both Rev and it works that's fine.
If they're opposite that's fine.
Just use what works.
