Default T-REX 550L Dominator Reviews

I have two of them. Super sweet but I'm running a Scorpion HKIII 4025-890kv motor on them and it sings very nice at 85%. Gotta love the brushless servos also. They are very high quality units and slop free. Also the Gpro is very locked in and much easier to setup perfectly. They got the CG right on it too. It's not tail heavy like previous models. I just got the green front canopy and the pics online don't do it justice. It's awesome.

Been enjoying my stock Dominator, plenty of power in that little bird !
Considering changing the Gpro to a Bavarian Demon so I can safely release the beast in it

Don't think so, am using same pack set as for my Trex 800 and they all fit...perhaps people need to adjust the straps which can get in the way.
Venom 5000 / 25 C..is the smaller size
Zippy 5000 /40 C ..is bulky
Gartt 5200 / 45 C..is also bulky
Mad Dog 5000 / 35C..is the longest one

I had mine out last night.

I have to say that I love mine!
It was my third flight.
The build went so smooth and I took my time building it and it was actually fun.

As far as the gear mesh goes. that is correct. you get what you get because the motor mount is one piece of aluminium and then the balance of the shaft sticking out of the top of the pinion slots into an additional bearing block. so the motor is locked into place with the stock components.

But still....nice bird.

I had one of the V2 versions and sold it as i could not get on with it. But this beauty is fantastic. The build went very well, Gpro set up was straight forward and it flies very nicely.

all i need is to change the 600pro main frame for the 550l's.
it would cost me around $200 instead of $850.
