Yesterday I had a shut off in the air again...fortunately managed to save it with autorotation. I downloaded the CC log but not any discrepancies. Then decided to check the Mikado event log and this is what I saw:

I was suspicious about the Sektrum sats I use and found some threads on forums about fake Skektrum sats...and...I learned both sats are fake wich I bought for the heli. I remember it was cheap but thought it is real Spektrum...this is really frustrating and pissed me off. Now I order 2 directly from HH and see what's gonna happen.

Well if you managed to do an autorotation that means that the rx-tx connection worked. Otherwise the helicopter would turn into the lawn dart....

Maybe the faulty sats are not the only issue...

Not neccesarily...I have an Optiguard on it...Ohh yeah, I understand what you mean. But if it only loses the connection for a very short moment...wich i don't even recognize, but the esc is rebooting it is something like that. When I touched down it started to spool up again.

OK I see now. I would still do an extensive bench test once you get the new satellites...

What kind of satellites are you using? DSM2 or DSMX?

Your problem sounds exactly like mine. I definitely had a problem with my motor, but I remember now that I also changed out my DSM2 satellites for a full receiver with a DSMX satellite. The problem seemed to happen when I was flying at my LHS, where a lot of guys were using Spektrum recievers on trucks and buggies. I thought that it may be a signal diversity problem.

I am using DSMX (2pcs) and it seems to happen only when the motor is working. I changed some emails with Mikado support and they suspicious about the motor as well. I will make a benchtest on their guidance and hopefully I can sort it out.

quick question about you folks running high head speeds on the governor:

fresh packs scenario first: assuming 90% efficiency....
(4.2v x 530kv x 12s x 0.9)/8.42 = headspeed of 2855 gives an ok margin of headroom for the governor?

a few minutes in it's a different scenario:
(3.8v x 530kv x 12s x 0.9)/8.42 = headspeed of 2583. next to no wiggle room for the gov in maneuvers.

could hard flying towards the end of the flight be causing the shutdowns as the gov can't keep up with trying to maintain the headspeed? you haven't really got any headroom left in your packs?
