Man that thing looks great in the sun bro I tell you what to save you some trouble painting just send me those 4 clear ones and I will paint them myself.

I do like the thinner look of the v2 better as well I think you made a good choice on that. I love Eflite and all but IMO the stock canopy is pretty ugly. How is it they have all these engineers that make mad moola and some redneck named Farmer makes a better looking canopy than they do in 2 days

Hurry to the post office Dave you still have time to get them in the mail!

Great job on the stretch to bud think I might have to try that. Did you just get stock or did you use the walkera booms?

Default Here's Mine...

Helped with visability big time!! L.E.D. lights will be here Mon or Tues! Eflite hit an absolute homerun on this one!!!

Green is Tamyia spray can TS-22 Light Green
.
Black stripe is blue hobby masking tape gone over with a sharpie pen.

Red on blades is regular blade tracking tape and it does not effect the blades in the least other then you can see them easier.

Running stock lipos and now hyperion 550's, great lipos.

David.

Clear Canopies will be available to the public by thursday at the latest, Would be sooner.. But I just want to have a few batches or so done so that way there wont be much delay between purchase and shipping..

I changed the design because I see most people use keychain cams, so its a little taller and narrower in the center..

Regards

Farmer

I worked up a nice light kit. I'll do a video later showing how it's done. It's just standard wiring though...

Does anybody else think this "can't post the same photo twice" thing is BS?

Lights look good Jasmine Oh and about the photo thing I noticed that yesterday thought it was just me doing something wrong. That is weird. Wanna see your light video when you get it done. I wanna put some on mine soon.

The red position light needs to be on the quads left side.

Remember three R's. Right, red, return.

Oh No! Not another MQX with lights!

Well I really like lights, and all my micro heli's have them. I mounted mine on the front of the body. Melted very tiny holes with a soldering iron, pushed the wires through the canopy then soldered the surface mount led's back on. They are mounted with silicone glue, easy to pull off when the canopy needs replacement. Shortened the original wiring as well. This was the tiny bright lights 3 led kit with the flashing white strobe.

One of the photo's shows how I soldered the power wires to the circuit board. There are 2 blank pads to solder to at those points. I chose this location for the leds because the leds light up the white blades at night and really helps with orientation. The white strobe is mounted at the rear of the body.

Your canopy is making me hungry

Actually it looks like something the military would use lol

I think it looks cool

You should stick orange ping pong balls on it lol

I have another one that I will probably paint. I like the clear one because it glows nicely from the blue LED

It actually flies much better with this simple canopy in the wind. I ordered a hi def keychain cam and plan to stick it to the top of the canopy.

FYI - These containers are from individual MOTTS Apple Sauce servings. Any small plastic cup shaped container can be used like this for a quick, durable cam mount

I was thinking of vacum forming a 2 piece dome.
1 for the top and 1 for the bottom clear for arial photogragy or fpv

So it looks like the bigger quads, it would clip together like a plastic easter egg, you know what I mean? I think it would look kinda cool

Ohyeah, that would be Awesome! Either black, white, or some very bright color on top, and clear on the bottom would really be cool.

I'd buy one of those if you made it

I'm loving the mQX more and more. Took it out today in 20mph gusts. It had a really hard time, but did handle it. I was able to control it much better than I would have thought. Don't get me wrong, tho... it was really dancing around all over the place!
