I'll answer my own question. I emailed SAB and they said not to worry it's not a limited edition so it will be around for awhile.

How is the Sound from the blades compared with the original 2-blades?
Will flight time increase with the same setup after you changed to 3-blades?

Default Spartan VX1n and trioblin

If anyone is flying with the tri head and tail with the vortex id sure appreciate a starting point for gains. Also I noticed Kyle suggested moving the tail servo ball closer to the inside but this will put the tail numbers in the vortex way over 200 so a suggestion there would be great too. Im planning to use the stock 21t motor pulley and run about 1900-1950 on an edge 160. Should i go lower with the pulley for an Xnova 4530 525kv?

Thanks in advance

I'm going with the xnova 480 kv, 14s, and I ordered the 19t pulley. I'm looking to top out in the 1900s. Not sure what gov you'll be using but if I was using 525kv and 12s I would use the 20t

Do we actually know what pulleys in this kit version?

Great looking heli and amazing piloting skills!!

Question regarding flight times.

I am currently flying a Trex 550 with 606mm blades doing low rpm stuff (1500 rpm). 8 minutes of flight time yeilds a 3.9v per cell pack after landing.

The Goblin has caught my eye and I am pondering purchasing one.

I believe Kyle mentioned 3 min flight times which is to be expected with his flying style. If I wanted to drop the rpm down and putz around the field, what kind of flight times could I expect. Is running the system using a single 6s pack feasable for low rpm stuff with a motor change if needed?

Thanks,

Shawn

If u want to do 6s low headspeed stuff I'd say find the lightest airframe u can like a logo 690 or synergy e5ss. I'm sure the kse will do it but it's more suited for higher headspeeds

I have a hps3 on a g700 I'm not a smack 3D at ~1800 and I'm getting 5min on a 12s 5000mAh but I have a high demanding motor and setup, with a smaller motor or less KV probably you could add 1-2 min

Ok here is my setup and flight times

Goblin 700 KSE
FBL System: NEO
Motor: Scorpion HK4525-520KV
Pinion: 21T
Headspeeds: 1600, 1700, 1800
ESC: Castle Edge HV160
BEC: Castle BEC Pro
Cyclic Servos: MKS HBL599 X6s
Tail Servo: MKS HBL880 X8
Battery: Pulse 12s 5000mAh 45C lipo
Flight Times: 5-8 minutes

At 1600rpm I get 6min sport/soft 3D flights and come down at 3.77volts on all my cells.
My big air flying banks 2 and 3 I stick to 4-5min 3D flights.

Thank you gents for the information. Even though the Sab might be a little heavier, it sure is hard to look at any other heli
Cheers,

Shawn

I was running circa 1800 head-speed when I first got it, after a bit of getting used to the feel as it really is different I really liked the increased "locked in" feel the 3 blade head gives you...

It all depends on preferred flight style but for me though at the lower head speed I thought it could do with a bit more zip in flight, so I have since upped the pinion and got closer to 2000 rpm and it is now much more what I was hoping it would be like....

That being said I get less than 4min flight times since doing that so it is a bit of a trade off pushing it a bit more but I think its worth it....

Hello Guys

I'm finishing mine with following setup :
-Goblin 700 KSE
-FBL System: Brain
-Motor: Scorpion HK4525-520KV
-Pinion: 18T (instead of 20T included)
-Headspeeds: 1450, 1600, 1750
-ESC: Castle Edge HV160
-BEC: None, 2S lipo
-Cyclic Servos: TORQ 9280
-Tail Servo: TORQ 9288
-Battery: Gens 12s 5000mAh 45C/60C lipo
-Flight Times: 5-6 minutes

Question, when you post a RPM, do you mean real RPM ? I've been said that tri blades RPM = 2 blades RPM divided by 1.22

When I read some people are flying 2000 RPM, that means same as 2440 RPM for 2 blades one.

I maidened my KSE Goblin today. 😆😆😆

My setup is:

Kontronik Kosmik 160A
Pyro 750-45
Stock 20T pinion
MKS HBL950 BLS HV cyclics

I'm waiting for my 7S packs to arrive, but did the maiden on 12S.

Cyclic is super smooth.

Hello guys

I have nine flights with my KSE. It's flawless in the Sky. I Fly It at 1600 and 1800 rpm with 18t pinion.
I have one issue. Whatever the rpm, went i enter a huge funnel i have a tic tac clac sound that Is only in this maneuver.
Any of you have experienced that and solve It ?

Thanks.

Maybe it's the same click sound some have had on the 700, caused by the lower mainshaft collar.
