Lightbulb JR E6-550 ESC RECOMMEDATION

Hi guys,

I would like your suggestions on the ESC upgrade for my JR E6-550. flying all stock electronics and servos. It flies beautifully. I want to try flying in the governor mode. I had heard the governor on the stock ESC is not upto the mark.

Is it better to go with Kontronik JIVE80+HV or Kontronik Koby 90LV.

Any other ESC recommendations are most welcome.

Did you look at the HobbyWing 100A V3?

I am using a YGE 90A LV (Mikado OEM version) with VBar Gov. Works just fine.

I replaced it with an Hobbywing Platinum pro v3 LV. Cheap and very good rpm regulation, good bail-out feature. It flies great, ultra-smooth.
All the best.

I have a Castle Creations Talon 90 on my Protos 500 and the governor works well and was easy to setup. I am running a MSH Brain and will be using the governor on it with a phase sensor on the stock speed controller.

I am also faving this question. Many recommendations I read went for either Hobbywing 100A V3, or YGE 80.

I myself am a fan of Kontronik. I would go for it if my cash allows, otherwise I would go for HW or YGE. At the moment I will still stick with the stock controller using gas curve.

The Kontronik is the best out there but way too expensive.. I have to postpone it as i'm saving some cash for the Forza 700.

There are lot of good reviews about HOBBYWING 100A V3. As of now i will be settling with the Stock ESC. But im having issues setting up the governor. . The Heli Flies Beautifully in normal mode.
