Graphing & 2D Charts
Does anyone know if there's a way in the EagleTree software to trim the END of a session? You can trim the BEGINNING by just specifying the amount of time you want to cut off, which is great, but I want to do the same with some time at the end of a session.
I just want the calculated averages to be somewhat useful, which is impossible if there's noise/invalid data at the beginning and end of a session (the time between when you plug in the battery and actually fly, and the time between when you land and then disconnect the battery). |

Quoting myself:
An often overlooked feature in the chart is that you can drag select a rectangle with the interesting part, e.g., exclude spool-up and the idle time after landing so the reported averages and max/min values are meaningful. /Lars

That's extremely useful information - thank you Lars!
I hadn't noticed that the calculated values change when you zoom in and out ... very subtle. I went looking for your previous post on the topic and found it https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=186348 EagleTree: This info really needs to be added to the Help section on Zooming and Scrolling. -John BTW - I saw the pic of your custom LCD interface for the logger - that looks to be exactly like what's needed - a large, easy to read (from some distance) indication of battery capacity. Well done! What else does it do ? |

About the custom LCD, yes it was useful but mainly because I used the display and a button to configure a limit for the discharge (20 % left rule) and blink some bright leds when this happens. I have since stopped using this display, one reason is that the Spektrum X-Bus telemetry sensor protocol has been made known and I built a converter that takes values from the EagleTree logger and sends them on to X-Bus - so I now get the battery alarm from my DX8.
/Lars
