Default Vario Tail Gear part 95 keeps failing

In my Vario trainer the part 95 ( the steel pinion on page number 14 ( 18 in the pdf ) ) keeps failing after 2 to 3 flights.

Again today, unplanned autorot.

It is so anoying.

Vario says they have no known problems on the part.

It is like allways, i am the first where it regulary fails.

The Heli has been changed to HC3SX and new set of servos on all functions.

Any ideas?

Don't expect any help from vario, unless you like being dissapointed.

I would suggest changing out the tail gearbox with another make. I think Bergen uses the same diameter tail boom so it might slip right on. Not sure about the drive shaft.

Simple thing to try first: reduce the tail gain in HC3SX.

Already reduced the tailgain.
I might play on the hc3sx parameters but exchanging the tailbox seems a idea.

This still leaves the front one which has the same gears in it.

Actually what i do not understand is that the 42 gear is not damaged at all. Only the 95?
Last time the teeth broke off.
This time it is more like grinded off at the top.

I adjusted the play exactly to their recommendation.

Wow. You're in Germany and you couldn't even get help from Vario? That's not good. I used almost identical tail gear shaft as you do. So far, it locked in solid. I'm sure you have but just out of curiosity. Did you loctite the set screws in and I think there is a flat dimple spot in the shaft where the pinion and retaining set screws supposed to be tighten on. Check that. Good luck.

I am only 100km from them so i might go there.

Yes, everything was loctited with loc red.
Nothing came loose - it is just that the teeth of the 95 on the side to the blades are totally worn.
the other 95 in the gear is ok.
