Default Home made Canopy W/ added belly pan

Hey everyone, I just picked up a used MQX and man is this little thing a blast to fly. I decided to try and make a canopy out of some things at home and I found a 20 oz vitamin water bottle that looks like it would work. I basically cut the top and bottom off then I cut it down the middle on the seam. A little trimming and its all set. I still have to punch the holes for the booms.

I made another one this weekend.I painted this one silver and masked off the cockpit area which I painted black. I also add a little belly pan which I painted silver also. I tried to make this one look like a space fighter.

now this is the kinda thing i love seeing people do! i just made my mqx alot smaller and added 8 LED's to it. also flying it in plus mode too. in plus mode it can barely pull off a loop or roll but it handles so much better, i can do bank turns with ease now, and even some tornados!

Wow that is a great mod, i'll have to try that! - I am constantly looking in the supermarket for nice blisterwrappings i can use for a new shell, but never thought of hacking up a water bottle. They are amazingly light as well, which is a big plus :-)

Thanks for the tip!
