Cool, so the signal wire for 'thesteves' converter can just plug in to the motor socket, rather than soldering to the PCB....that makes things much easier, nice find.

I'm waiting on my parts, I have my motor and new frame, just waiting on thesteves converter and the ESC to arrive, I'll be brush-less too soon

can you post a video of it flying, looks to be a bit simpler to obtain the parts for your version in comparison to others and I am looking to go brushless as well so I would like to see how it compares in flight to others I have seen. Nice Job

Can you tell me where the other wires from the Steve go?

Yellow signal goes onto the positive of the old motor plug.

Then White goes to white on the ESC

Red & Blue - do these go to the ESC or somewhere else - I'm a little confused about the battery side.

Edit - am I right in thinking it all goes in parallel. Red & Blue to Red & Black on ESC to Posi & Neg on Lipo?

Red and blue are the power feed for the "thesteve".

So they can be powered from wherever you prefer. TNT's style of powering it from the esc is a better option imo than soldering to the 3in1.

Means you only have three contacts to solder to on the board or two if you use the motor plug.

From memory the Walkera 003 is actually approx 15000kv and weighs 11g or so incl plug. That heli must be capable of pretty high rpm but that motor would cope...certainly a better option than the Turnigy 1220 which needs frame mod.

So your running stock tail motor/rotor blade, and 120SR tail wires and plug. Have you had many blow-outs, and does it seem more forgiving as far as it's need for collective management?

Yeap I am running the factory tail motor and tail blade. Yes it is way more forgiving where I was running 95% pitch travel now I am running 70 to 75 pitch travel and with that pt it has enough pop :-). Have a blessed week

Yeap the tail holds fine :-). I may try the sr120 tail motor. There's a Guy who tried it and it seems to work well.
