Walkera, Blade's largest competitor may have discontinued all helis
Walkera has delisted all helis from their website. Furthermore, not a heli was seen at their booth at Nuremberg. Therefore, it is possible that they have discontinued all their helis. My vendor thinks it is credible as sales in the sector have been declining for quite some time.
It seems that Walkera is now concentrating on multi-rotors that are priced above $1000. This is a risky strategy given that they will have to shake off their "toy manufacturer" reputation. What this means is that Blade has now got a chance to expand greatly in China and areas of Asia where its distribution is weak. This is particularly given that there are a large number of Walkera users with Spektrum compatible transmitters around. However, there is now much less competition for Blade in the micro sector. |

I agree, though, that it could be a huge boost for Blade. If the many versions of Walkera 120 disappear, Blade may need to reintroduce a 130X V2. |
