3G delay problem
Setting up a new 3G on my 700N. I've gone through all of the settings and everything is working properly. When I get to the 3G setting display screen on the computer, it say's my delay is at 30.
I go into programming, hit set until I get over the to tail delay function, just barely move the stick R and it registers green for the 700 and 10 on the delay. I hit the set button and it goes right back to 30. What the heck ?

Me too: Can't get the rudder delay back to zero. Can anyone make the instructions more specific? It says "gradually move the stick until delay LED begins to flash, the delay is 0% at this point. Continue to move the stick until desired delay is needed, then press "set" to register" But what if you don't want any delay??

Hey.
I dont recall hearing of a simpler way to return the gyro to it's defualt settings other than to connect up the 3G to a PC and upgrade the firmware, the latter will wipe all current settings and put them to default. The only problem here is that you will need to run through the whole 3G setup again for the flybarless side of the unit as well as the tail gyro. Another way involves using the PC lead as you are doing perhaps so you can visually see the delay amount on screen live and return it to 0. . |

OK Ian. Thanks. The delay is only 10% so may not be causing the (slight) tail wag on the TRex450. Will probably leave it for now.

Hey.
Ah your running the 3G on a 450? I've literally just got mine dialled in this weekend after chasing an elevator bobble in fast forward flight, all other aspects of flight were good except the elevator. The fix for me was a change in sensor mounting, harder dampers and then heavier main blades. Your tail wobble could be down to the heading lock gain setting within the 3G, accessable and changeable through the PC link if you have it available to you? How far out is your tail servo arm? I don't run the recommended length but shorter, you lose a little speed advantage running a longer arm but gain resolution and in turn can run a higher gain before you see any hunting. I do not know how much delay I am running but I do add in a fair bit to all my 3G'd models as I find it suits the 3G better. . |
