Default Horizon Hobbies Kudos

I have called Horizon a few times now. I have received EXCELLENT customer service. Heck, they even called me back to discuss my servo after their phone line was not so crowded.

They fixed up my first copter, a Heli-Max CPv3 when it blew an ESC a few years ago.
They were very patient with me and sent me more than one 3-in1 for my new MSR a few years ago.
They sent trim switches for my DX6i.
They are sending me a new MCPX servo to replace the twitchy one I bought last week

My whole fleet is near exclusively E-flite now. 2 MSRs, 3 MCPXs and a 4th coming. And an MQX and Blade 130x are both on my horizon. (pun intended

Hurray for Horizon Hobby.

That kind of customer service would be hard to beat if someone was trying. They stand alone because no one else comes close to that level of service..

I'll never forget when, quite a few years ago now, I sent my Blade CX2 in for some repair (just the heli, no tx) and got the wonderful surprise of getting it back with their then brand new lp5dsm-tx and a dsm2 receiver installed instead of the original Fm-rx!
And they didn't charge anything, not even for the repair it was sent in for!

...and that's also the story of how I got into using Spektrum equipment... not dumb either :-)

Thanks HH

All of my HH release delay bitching aside - their customer service is just incredible. I erroneously sent in a DX6i that I thought was broken. They looked it over & sent it back to me & they paid the shipping & threw in a 6110 RX to boot. I broke the gear switch on my DX8 - they replaced the switch and shipped it back, no charge. A lot of companies could learn from their customer service department.
They could learn a lot from other companies (Apple comes to mind) marketing, production & distribution departments.

I've had so many good experiences dealing with horizon, I've lost count.

Great customer service aside, I really wish the would do a little better when they first release a new product. It seems like every time something new comes out, it's soon followed by a v-2. I have learned not to buy a new product right away, but wait awhile so see how things shake out. With all that said, I love all of my HH models.

Same here. I have an SR that is my first CP heli. Guy at the LHS isn't a heli guy at all so I was basically told (when moving from my little FP) that I needed to get an mCPX if I wanted to fly inside or an SR to fly outside. I didn't want to be stuck inside so I bought the SR. This was all before I found HeliFreak and got good advice.

Anyway, long story short...for all the issues the SR has had they have sent me every part I have needed to fix things and get her running again if the crash wasn't my fault with no questions asked. In fact...I half think they would send me new parts even if the crash was my fault. It's this reason why I haven't questioned getting an mCPX (waiting on it now) and I intend on buying a 450X when I graduate to a bigger bird.

Sweet Mother of G-d! You're getting your first MCPX? I hope you bought 5 extra batteries, a neck strap for your TX, and a case of gatorade. You're not going to be doing anything but flying and smiling for a week!
