Default Servo Arm Question

I was assembling the servo arms for the Xxtreme last night and have a situation that I have a question about.

My cyclic servos are 8917HVs and when I mount the ball to the servo arm with the supplied hardware the screw protrudes past the nut on the back... is this a concern?

If the servo travels far enough it will hit the case. I can find nothing in the forum about it so I'm guessing this is normal and that the travel is not an issue.

I cut mine, or rather used 2mm shorter, else you damage the case when moving servos and folding blades etc.

I use M3 x 12mm.

How about the assembling of the E-servo in the frame, it's M2.5 x 8mm.
Little short if i use Grommets with inserts. A/P-servo is M2,5 x 10mm.

Yes, I had the same issue with the Elevator servo. I wound up using the rubber grommet and took the brass inserts out. I'm going to try a 2.5 x 10 and see if it works.

I'll be switching to the 3x12s tomorrow.

Thanks everyone
