Question Need a quiet(ish) 600N

I'm thinking of building a 600N to complement my 600E (looking for longer flight times). I'm not into 3D just the odd roll and loop whilst cruising around so am not looking for awesome power.

The trouble is I need someone that doesn't upset my fellow plank flyers, I'm in a minority of 1 as far as heli flyers go at my club, though I also fly planks with electric and four strokes.

A heli loudly screaming its nuts off at 20,000 rpm probably will attract too much attention and comment.
Looking through various threads using a OS 50 Hyper with a Zimmerman pipe seems to be the quietest combination for a 600.

Is this the best combination, and has anybody else had to try to "keep the noise down" and if so how?

..and yes, join a heli club isn't an option at present since they are all full !!

Thanks. Blade

I was using the Hatori pipe on mine, and it was really surprisingly quiet. Not a whole lot louder than your averege 2-stroke plank.

I have the Align pipe now, which is supposedly a bit louder, though I haven't started it up yet to hear the difference.

I think the Align pipe is far too loud. Lots of power, but it was driving me mad. So I swapped it out for an MP5, which is quieter, but still good power.

The Hatori is about as quiet as it gets while still making good power.

For the same reason I changed to a 600N sport .
It's more quiet than a pro !
Add a JK Hatori pipe and you'll be fine.

Is the sport version really much quiter than the pro? Does the shaft make that much noise compared to belt ? I'm asking because I have plans to buy a 600N and run it in the neighborhood
