Default No soft start? What to look at?

hi,

today i received my 300X and i checked and set up everything. as far as i can see, everything is fine so far.

my first small try was a normal and manual spool up, which worked (beside of some vibrations). after that i pulled TH, set Stunt1 (75% throttle), moved the throttle-/pitch-stick up to 60% and pushed TH.
the 300X went directly to full throttle and circled very fast around itself.... luckily nothing happend.

i always do the same with my 130X and 450X and it works.

what could i have set um wrong? where do i have to look at?

Did you wait 20-30 seconds before restarting? If not, there's your problem! The soft start has a "reset time" and you either need to pull power and re-arm or wait 20-30 seconds before restarting to get a soft start.

As far as I know this is an "undocumented feature"

chris, thank you for your help!

i am quite sure that i did not wait 20 to 30 seconds before i restarted. good to know about this "feature". i never had these problems before, but this may have been luck.

i will try again tomorrow and report.

I wonder if the ESC on the 300X may be set up, like the stock ESC on the Blade 4503D/X, to quickly come back to RPMs unless it's sitting for a while to bail out of autos. On the 450X at least, engaging TH and then coming back out of TH quickly allows the motor to come up to operating RPMs very quickly to enable the heli to bail out of an auto. i recognize this won't work on a 300X with no one-way bearing but I wonder if all the heli ESC's are set up like this?

That is my assumption. Even without a one-way bearing if you were to accidentally hit TH in flight it could save your bacon!

So the ESC is program for soft start? If I was to hiddle up from zero, it should spool up nicely right?
