Default Hmmm thinking of coming over to Futaba

Hi all,
ever since i started flying (2yr ago) Iv alway been a Spektrum guy Only because everyone was using them and there are so many support video on how to use them and set them up etc... but now i have taken a liking to the 8channel 8FG it looks like a nice shape radio and i like the touch scroll wheel. i would like to know is the 8FG capable of doing all the function of the DX8? and are there many advantages? any input would be great!!

Definitely everything the DX8 can do and more.

I've had my 8FG for 2.5 years now and couldn't be happier with it. Sbus + Vbar is an awesome combination!

I started with a DX-8 as well. Once I touched a Futaba it was game over for my Spektrum. The 8FGH is not quite as user friendly but it does soooooo much more!

The 8fg is great. I left Spek radios to get it and have loved my Futaba.
Futaba has the 8j which is 8 channels but it uses S-FHSS. Which I believe isn't as good as FAAST the 8fg uses.
Here is a link to both. You can read up on all the differences as Im not familiar w/ the 8j. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...SM&C=JNF&V=FUT

The 8FG used to be 8 channels. About a year ago (March/April 2011?), they released the version 3 software (and the 8FG Super, which has some tiny hardware changes), which upgraded it to 14 channels.

If it first you look at it and think it's ugly, believe me it grows on you. I really really like mine.
