Last I knew they got the belts they needed to start testing. I seem to remember that there is a sort of unwritten rule that Compass heli prototypes must have over 100 flights on it before videos or flight demos are done for the public. I could be wrong though.

I got to see it in person today at weak signals in Toledo. I'm pretty excited about it!

MKS here, and also the majority of the team too I think.
DS95 and 95i or similar, we'll see. Don't know if I'll want to try a mini tail servo or not, we'll see.

Default Pictures of the newest 360 variant

Here you go... new pictures! Not the best pictures, but then they're better than nothing!

Side view... Lot's of blue light in the area... Something to notice in the next picture...

Notice that the aileron and pitch servo positioning has changed. Gone is the slant mounting. Look at the beefy head! It's really nice looking in person! The head has a Jesus bolt--the black ring in the head block.

Tail assembly. It's beefy, too. All metal (not blue--that's booth lighting).

I want one! BAD!

In this position, it seems tricky to unscrew ail/pitch servo; Bottom screws are under the front deck, no?

Thanks for the pics! I have one comment...since the DS95 servos are popular, I wouldn't care for mounting them directly to the bearing blocks, as the Trex 450 Pro does. In a bad crash, I would imagine you could bend the servo cases. I'm not sure why the servos were previously canted inwards but they were mounted to the carbon plate which I thought was smart.

Furex,

I think that's an issue they will address.

ScotY,

I've got a 450 that has seen horrendous crashes. Inverted, full power, full positive type crashes. Enough to drive the main shaft through the lower Jesus bolt and never has the case of a single servo been damaged. I'm not a great pilot, but I am a prolific crasher. I think my 450pro has but 2 original parts on it-- the frame floor and a frame half.

When they can, I'm certain the team pilots will speak to this. Anything I post is nothing but speculative. It was very cool see and touch the model up close!

Scott
