Problems with my Phoenix flight sim.
This is probably not the best place to post this so please excuse me, but I just received my Phoenix flight sim. I calibrated my transmitter (DX6i) and I can't seem to go above half stick, and my throttle is reversed. I'm using a blade 450x profile with a blade 450x (that's what this transmitter has always been used on). Should I be using a blank profile or how does all this work?

Problems with my Phoenix flight sim.
You need a separate profile on the radio for the sim. Start a new profile and choose helicopter. Then go through the calibration in Phoenix. If you go to switch select you can assign the TH switch.
Also the power switch must be OFF when using the sim. The trainer port will turn it on when you plug in the cord. Here's a video

One model in radio. Every model in Phoenix can be edited and saved as a variant. I just tweaked the G700 in Phoenix to feel as close as possible to my real one (and I got it really really close) and thats the only variant I fly in Phoenix now for 3 years. Oh.. had to redo it after the new beta version came out
ADD EXPO! All phoenix models come with 0 expo.. edit the model and click 'advanced' and figure out how to tweak. That's why they are so insanely twitchy.. especially to newer pilots. Try 30% on aileron and elevator and %50 on tail to start... then as you progress figure out what YOU like.

Dude get a different sim the better I get the more I realize this sim is not that good to me the helis feel super dumpy around center and not locked in and I can't seem to find a good correction in the menu of adjustments it seems like they have a lot of different names for tinkering that do the same thing with the result being a reset to factory default
Sorry to rant |

Phoenix is just fine. The latest version feels the best yet. Anything I can do in the sim translates to real life. Unless you are a few years in I wouldn't bother getting anything else if you already have it.. I'm 8 years in an it's just fine.

One thing I've noticed if I'm able to fly something decent in the sim it's even easier IRL

I don't know maybe it is me but to me I don't feel that centrifugal force in the rotor head in the sim
