Default Post your SOUNDS here.

Hi,

Post your sounds here please.

Some great ones by devindh:

PhoenixRC_resources_soundEffects_helicopters.zip
PhoenixRC_resources_soundEffects_misc_wind_sound.z ip
nitro_w-hatori.zip
nitro_w-hatori_better.zip
nitro_w-align.zip

Also test the sound modes in PhoenicRC to see which sounds the best. On my system it's OpenAL.

Cheers!

Hi,

Which sounds did you use?

For planes:
*.pxe in c:\Program Files\PhoenixRC\resources\objects\aircraft\fixedWi ng\engines\
*.wav in c:\Program Files\PhoenixRC\resources\soundEffects\planes\

For helis:
*.pxe in c:\Program Files\PhoenixRC\resources\objects\aircraft\helicop ters\engines\
*.wav in c:\Program Files\PhoenixRC\resources\soundEffects\helicopters \

The heli sounds are replacing the old ones. My EDF sound is new and you can use it by selecting EDF in the sound setup of your plane.

Cheers!

Default EDF sound for models with 2 Fans

Hi,

New EDF sound for models with 2 Fans, eg the Typhoon EDF

*.pxe in c:\Program Files\PhoenixRC\resources\objects\aircraft\fixedWi ng\engines\
*.wav in c:\Program Files\PhoenixRC\resources\soundEffects\planes\
Select "EDF 2 Fans" as engine in model sound setup

Run "EDF" engine first and than the "EDF 2 Fans", you should notice a difference

Share your thoughts!

Cheers!

I deleted all the sounds I extracted into a folder that has been deleted now - I just wanted to start again from the begining.
At the moment I have no sounds and No folder to xtract them too.
Which heli sounds shall I copy? Wot folder shall I xtract them too?
Not sure if I am making sence here?

I just purchased 2.5 and upgraded to 2.5t. I'm not happy with some of the sounds like the trex 500 sounds more like a truck than an electric heli. Should I used the sound files posted above? TIA.

Yeah the Trex 500 sound is awful. But I was able to make it a bit better by doing this:

I copied the file heli_500_gearless_100%.wav, deleted the file heli_500_100%.wav, and renamed the copy as heli_500_100%.wav.

It sounds a LOT better. Still not really right though. I wonder, does Phoenix sample the actual sounds our helis make?
