Default MCPX005 main gear + LX0467 main shaft = trouble

MCPX005 main gear pops off LX0467 when looked at crosseyed, and especially if you give it hard collective when doing that. The result is, obviously, dropping out of the sky like a brick.

Three times in a row, about 90 seconds into the flight each time.

Your mileage may vary, but this is what mine is.

Back to MCPXBL069X, that one holds stuff together for good.

PS: Can't stop being amazed at how tough this bird is - first time, it fell from about 30ft - just put the main gear back on and kept flying.

You are absolutely correct about MCPXBL069X.
I would never use a stock main gear on a high power MCPX or BL.
I think it transmits more damage in a crash, but if it crashes all the time without it because of the extreme torque some of these motors develop, it's worth it.
It's also nice being able to set the correct tension / pressure on the shaft bearings.
Removal and replacement is a pleasure too, no more prying it off the heli.

Is the MCPXBL069X gear made by Lynx, Blade?
