Notice he said a lot, not all of them, the one you had was a part failure, but there are lots of people who have problems that are related to incorrect setup.

Exactly. I didnt say this incident was one. Nr1 reasons for esc failure are to long screws that touch the wires inside

That would burn any esc connected to the "motor" in question
which now has a castle ice 100 tested on the exact same setup, all was fine again

So no response from retailer or yge about the warranty, does anyone here know what the actual warranty is in the USA?

Well I emailed nankin who now sells yge and they said:

Warranty:

We give 6 months warranty on this speed regulator.

Yes, 6 months from the factory as listed in the manual that came with your ESC:

"Warranty:
We give 6 months warranty on this speed regulator. Any other requirements are excluded."


I had to send mine back to the factory for the warranty repair, just like I did with the CC ESC's that I ran. It sucks that they are in Germany, but that's what you gotta do.

Please remember that elektrorc is not a distributor like RH is for Kontronik. Pete is only a retailer, and he buys units from YGE and resells them. This means he does not handle the support directly, and any repairs need to be sent back to the factory as explained here: http://elektrorc.com/article_info.php?articles_id=22

I've had my 100LVVB for 8 months and hundreds of flights. Last flight one motor cable got loose (bad solder). So it died no beep, only flash a code "startup failure". So I've contacted YGE and will send it in for repair. Have two other YGE and a really satisfied with the units and support. Last time I sent it in took about two weeks in total.

My YGE 60 also just has the error "start up failed"
How do you contact YGE?

try a hard reset first (full stick power off, power on to arm, some beep (?), remain full stick when power off)

I tried the full stick reset, also with the prog card.
Its damaged after a crash, I have also submitted that contact form, but have not heard anything back.

Yeah your in Sweden, I will be happy to post pictures of my shipping labels And corrisponding
Emails, it was months.

And really the yge 100lv bar I got from electro RC should have been warranty repaired

But the place of original purchase and yge have failed to reply to my emails, even to at least say no were not fixing it.

Does that sound like a reputable company?

So I guess I'm left out in the cold , maybe Nankin will help me out if I buy a new one from them
But who knows yge might still black list me for anything

I just installed a yge 100 on my goblin 570 went to spoil maiden flight blades started then stoped now esc smells burnt

Anyone experienced that you can't reset the three-beep with radio? (100% and then disconnect, like manual says).
I haven't had time to try attaching the prog card yet but I have a bad feeling

You can reset every beep with full stick. However for instance you are running vbar gov it won't sent the needed signal as a safety measure.

Clearly YGE has not done there part to properly instruct those using YGE for the first time.
At best there esc instruction is clearly confusing and not very clear.

Have look at the GOV store thread you have half dozen different methods and opinions to setup gov store or vbar.

even mr.mel video does not clear explain one need to dis-engage freewheel and gov store when re-calibrating the stick ! as example

I was under the impression that this was a high end ESC. I purchased a 120lvk, programmed it with the card. Everything ran flawlessly the first flight. The second flight POP during spool up. Smells like it got my FBL too, I have no idea until i can test it.

It says in the cheap printout you get with the ESC that it has a 6 month warranty? how the hell do you even get in touch with these guys?

6 months warranty in North America 2 years in Europe.
don't ask why but that f***ked up.

Best bet bring back to the shop you bought at ask refund or new esc.
that what I did.
