Default help logo xxtreme or SAB goblin

I'm getting very frustrated about choosing my next heli, been flying for about 16months can fly in all orientations right way and inverted with a few small 3d moves, i no these helis are way above my skill level but I'm hooked I've got to get one just because there both so different, currently flying logo 6003d love it, but pulling my hair out over these 2 helis any advice appreciated.

I've got a goblin coming as I'm gonna wait a bit to see how everyone gets on with the new 800 class before I pump money into it.

I really want an xxtreme but not yet

I'd check out the power to weight ratio of them.

Goblin appears to be lighter and "quicker"

Extreme looks very stable and smooth

Are you running 10s or 12s on your Logo 600??

If your running 12s it's probably a no brainer just get the Goblin (You can share batteries with your logo)

If your running 10s then *Shrug* A lot depends on how much $$ your willing to drop. The X is going to be much more expensive (If nothing else due to 14S batteries)

Without any hard info on either I would go with the Goblin just because it looks so much different than the helis I am used to seeing.

For me, the Goblin's boom is much more attractive(no boom supports) along with the sleek looking canopy/fuse. The Goblin has the next step in evolution look for helis that I like.

+1.

The other thing to factor into the Xxtreme is that its been designed for 14S i.e. 7Sx2.. So you will need a charger that can handle 7S packs.. Then again, with the amount of money required to put together an Xxtreme an extra $200 is nothing..

I think I would also lean toward the Goblin..........as much as I like Logos!

Love that boom design.......although waiting to see how involved parts and $-wise to
replace........and that belt driven main rotor system. Has to be whisper quiet and think
my Logos are already pretty quiet.

BUT the Extreme or even a TDR would be nothing to sneeze at!! Both may be on my
'bucket' list

The two machines are apple and oranges really.

You can make comparisons about how they look, what they cost, along with contrasting design features, and make a decision solely on that basis if you want.

But the way they fly and the "performance experience" (for lack of a better description), that they provide a pilot is totally different.

The XXtreme is significantly larger (and thus heavier) than the Goblin. Both machines have the power and can be set-up to fly super for their size class, but you just can't say the way they fly is "interchangeable", and thus make the argument the only considerations for a decision between the two is looks and cost.

It's like trying to say a smaller heli and a larger heli both provide the same "experience" to the pilot, which of course they don't. Anyone who's flown and is familiar with several different size classes of helis, will tell you they don't all fly the same. Size matters, and there's no getting around that.

Now if you want to compare the Goblin to other 700's, or the XXtreme to other 800's, then get busy. But the two are really apples and oranges. In the end no one will be able to say one's better than the other, as they are too different. It will boil down to "preference" on the pilot's part, just like some (for various reasons), prefer smaller helis, and others prefer larger ones.

after watching both helis fly in lots of videos i have decided on getting the goblin simply because it looks the most agile and fast out of the two
i think the xxtreme is more big air im looking for something thats fast for hard stops etc, admitdly i would like to see tareq fly the xxtreme to see what its capable of
charging wasnt a issue as i have 3 14s chargers, and allready had heli jive 4525-520 and some 6cell 5000mah flightpower nano techs which swung it in favour of the goblin,
thanks for the help guys

I would say it's abit early to say as none of these two models have made it out to the average joe yet, so we dont know much about how they work, how they hold up in the long ruin, do they crash well, any beta issues what can cause alot go grieff and so on. Thats said I'm setting up a Goblin SAB fund, and might very well go down that route if it lives up to the expectations.

I think you're right. The XXTreme seems more like a big air bird. That's the reason I'd go with the XXTreme (because of the size and I don't think they're a lot of non-stretched 700s out there). Either way, you can't go wrong both are great helis.

sheesh and I thought I was spolied, I just ordered the new align 700 f3c v2. I would have like to have gotten the goblin, however people told me several times that parts may be hard to get, and also with the logo xtreme. Plus I did not have that much extra money for the xtreme anyway. People who can fly well and never crash or crash way less then most, may not think this is huge. I have very small number of crashes, but I still want to be able to get parts so I can keep flying. They are both better then mine, but I like knowing after spending 1500 dollars that if I crash on accident I can still fix it.
