Is there anything else I need? I was going to use the existing swash.

Does someone here want to sell these parts ?
I'm working on the converting the FB head.

I collected all of the parts from Helidirect for $48.33 (got head and swash drive arms on their EBAY auction site and saved a bunch).

I sold the of-fall parts to a fellow who was changing from FBL back to fly-bar. So it all worked out. I have not had time to set up the ZYX-S -I yet, have a T-Rex 600, and a 450 with them so I know to do it how-just no time.

Nice. Did you use the stock FB grips? Ifso, it looks like I can just get the fbl hub and arms if the Trex 500 balls won't work. Can you measure the distance from the center of the hub out to the center of the ball?

Everything fit together fine, and the balls for the blade grips are exactly on the center-line of the main shaft at the "zero delta" point

buy these on Ebay and save $18

Get the rest direct from Helidirect to save on shipping.

Well, just thought I would update my status of still loving my 550 to still loving my 550 haha. Still love flying this heli and feel so comfortable with it. Just can't beat this little guy for an overall great flying experience

I stripped a main gear last week. Helidirect still has stock for now..
I also got a tail boom support for a spare just in case......

I was at IRCHA talking to a guy who had a Synergy E9 . He could not get the crown gear for it- it was discontinued. He gave it away for parts . The O550 is one part from that situation. Can anyone guess what that part may be?

The o550 uses v50 fbl head and many other parts. The frames are getting scarcer. No cf frames available I can find just fiberglass.

No front plastic receiver tray part anymore either available.

I don't remember the last time I fly my OR 550. It is ready to go and has never been crashed so I still have all the spare parts I bought when the heli first came out
I haven't been flying any of my helis in months
I need to get motivated

I'm still flying (and crashing) mine...I've decided not to invest in any more parts for it tho, just gonna save that money and probably pick up a used align 550 airframe when the time comes and transfer all my electronics.I'm dreading that day...

I bought a huge lot of parts at IRCHA and plan on flying mine for many years to come. It's just such a good heli!

Flew this weekend, Using ZYX-S control and analog cyclic servos . flies better than similar t-Rex 600 with digital servos.

If anyone is still monitoring this thread, I am looking for some advice.

I have been flying the 550 a lot it now has a KBAR on it, and it flies even better.

I was at a fun fly yesterday and the link from the elevator control arm popped off. I was pulling out of a shallow dive close to the ground at a slow speed. It hit the ground level , but it broke a blade and a servo and a main gear.

It has Quick UK links on it, and the one that popped off looks to be OK.

1. Has this happened to anyone else.

2. I am going to design a safety ball for it so it cant come off, maybe using a 450 swash elevator ball with the shaft on it. Has anyone done this before?
