Since it was not your file, I guess I understand why it's a zigzag not speed flight so that's OK. I've defaulted the data to metric (m/s speed and m altitude) units. Can you please ask the vbar guys if this is what it's expected to look like? I'm a little surprised about the altitude data being so much on a single height for most of the flight. My program added an offset to the altitude data in the CSV file so the takeoff point (where it starts gaining altitude and speed) is at ground level. Otherwise using just the metric (meters) height from the CSV the graph is under ground :-).

Keep me posted. I'd like to get the vbar/vcontrol import to be added as soon as they can export the data. Thanks!
Here is the answer from Mikado:

Well, the data is shown as it comes from the gps. The units are usually m and m/s for the speed.
The Resolution is not so high, since the gps spits it out once per second. Higher resolution ist not possible with the reciver.

Height is generally not very accurate in GPS, so it may start somwhere a bit below 0. If not enough sats are tracked, it tends to start at -48m. Additionally the height is following very slowly, so it it is not very usable for helis that climb and fall very fast.

That's already in the new version. The units will be selectable between imperial, metric and mixed with either on the front (for example I prefer to see both, but primarily imperial). I'm finishing up a few things and hopefully can send you guys the link over the weekend.

Thanks Konna for working with the Mikado guys on this!
Can you please ask them to confirm that the longitude/latitude was accidentally switched in the previous file?

Is this a new GPS data export that they are working on, or it's something existing that you can already do with vcontrol if you have a vbar GPS?

Havent asked about longitude/latidute but my guess is that file was from europe.
And second question is probaply answered here http://www.vstabi.info/en/node/1738

Hey thank you. I figure that this is what you're referring to, the vbar can do the export already. I have the importer already, I just need to do some last minute work, but unfortunately the only file I have is what you got me from the Mikado guys and it does not look quite correct. I'll be waiting for someone with a vbar GPS to send me another CSV file too.

I think i'm going to buy gps unit myself cause it seems that with your analyser i can get more accuracy out of unit and helpful tool for speedheli adjustment

+1

Really encouraged by your software to get my GPS going even without applying it to speed!

Every pass will have a separate max speed marker. You can turn them off if you don't want to see them. If you click on the green arrow icon that points at the top speed, it gives precise speed info in a popup. Will this work?

Were you able to finish and post this new version? I was able to get out in the cold this weekend and get some flights in.

I'm looking forward to seeing more feedback on the analyzer as the season starts up and weather gets better (although in Helsinki I remember the harbor had sometimes ice until April even May so it might take you a little while :-) ). Even I did not have too much time to fly with GPS last year so I'm just getting into this software with everyone else.

Sorry for the slight delay, I am working on it, have a little more testing to do. Let's see if I can finish tonight.

Default New version is available

The new version is live. I've opened a new HF thread for it so we can track questions/comments. Thanks for everyone who helped with data files, feedback, bug reports and suggestions!

Cool, thank you. You are a great help with trying to hunt down a useful VBar GPS file!

The new version that I posted up a bit earlier has the VBar import, there can be issues with it because I could not thoroughly test it with the previous file. If you happen to be able to get ahold of a GPS yourself, you can also try it out later. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=770510
