Need help with mini Protos Swash Plate
Hi all
well, this is a bit strange but i am trying to replace the swash plate of my Dynam Erazor 450 with the mini protos's, the swash plate of the E razor 450 is exactly the same size as the T-rex 450, but i cant use the T-rex swash because i need a separate anti rotation pin (four arm swash) just like the protos. I need help to confirm the size of the mini protos swash plate, if some one has Trex and mini protos swash plate please confirm about the size of ball link and main shaft and the distances between servo balls. Now, i have been searching for a long time for a substitute and i finally found this mini protos swash, from the pictures i see i know the antirotation pin is different, i will just swap my old pin instead, it is not a problem, also i assume the main shaft is 6mm, and for that i can use a sleeve OD 6mm. ID 5mm, and glue it to the shaft at the area where the swash travels with some red or permanent thread-lock,, my biggest concern is the size of the swash plate it self as i dont know the size of the mini protos heli. So, what do you guys think?, will this work? |

The mini protos uses a 6mm mainshaft. This will not be compatible with the 5mm mainshaft like the Trex 450

Does it smaller than the Trex 450?, if i used a sleeve like the one between the main gear oneway bearing and main shaft, it has OD 6mm ID 5mm and glue it to the shaft where the swash plate travels, will it work?

You'd be far better served trying to fit a sleeve to the ball inside the swash, than trying to fit one to the mainshaft of the helicopter.
Doesn't seem like a fantastic idea to me, but it could be possible |

the sleeve can be fixed to the swash or the main shaft i will figure it out, but how about the size?
The problem is i cant find any other 450 swash plate that has a four arm like the protos. |

i have measured mine, the inner swash is 19 mm instead of 20.5 mm, and the 42 mm in the photo is 37 mm, so i guess the dimensions are ok, the ball size is abut 4.9 mm instead of 4.45 mm, so i will just swap the balls ..
