Thatīs the reason we add them. But because there are different controllers and motors available we cannot factory mount them.

Also the sound like an arrow when the S is passing is probably coming from the ducts

Just fyi if you're running a Kosmik Cool. I installed using the diagram measurements, and I had to trim the ducts, because they were hitting the fan keeping the nose from seating, and of course, there's no changing it once the holes were cut. I would prefer them to be another 10mm forward, and that would have put them directing air right into the Cool's heatsink. I think it will be fine as it's though, because air will be flowing right over the fan.

Hi William, that's 183mm (European 1) and definitely from the back of the top of the canopy, ie. the curve just in front of the swash. Notice the leading portion of the ducts are closer together, which should be at the front. Cheers.

Thank Geoff,

Rather ask than be like...oh shit!!

I will have to make sure the ducts dont interfere with push up against anything....I still need at least 2mm space...my canopy just does not want to go in any furture. Its actually all the kosmiks fault...I noticed Gerd had a mount on his pictures dropping the kosmik...therefore lowering the front end of the Kosmik...this will creat a lot more space...Need to see how I'm going to do that.

I feel sorry for the guys using the Cool Kosmik...damn I dont know how that is going to fit.

I have no choice!!! With the heat build up in the fuse there is a slight (minor) bump showing on the fuse where the elevator servo is mounted. I'm guessing the heat build up inside caused that area to soften showing where the fuse is under pressure. I'm not sure it is worth it to dismantle and dremmel that down.

I have a cool Kosmik, not by choice, only one in the LHS. As I said by PM, took some serious Dremelling to get it to fit!

I have no ducts, just a 10mm hole and a Mauro HS motor mount. I feel heats sinking is the key for these short flights, not sure active cooling of any benefit!

Quick conversion the top of the ducts are mounted 177.8mm from the top, slightly less than what gerd posted earlier hopefully this will make a difference

Not rocket science William, I'm afraid! Just an 8mm hole and some unsightly modding of cooling fins on the Kosmik
