Default Hp05s help

Haven't tried any wiring yet connecting my motor to the esc yet the motor I order didn't come with the 3 pin plug so my question is how do you tell what wire is which or does it not matter?

Just solder the wires to the esc and if the motor spins in the wrong direction just switch any two wires.

doesnt matter. Once you solder them to the ESC, give it a test, you want the motor to spin CW, if it doesnt, just swap 2 of the wires on the ESC amd your good to go. do the test spool with just the motor , not installed to the frame yet. Because its so freak'n fast you may have a hard time seeing which way the gear is spinning, a great way to verify is to take a piece of paper strip and hold it to the gear a cw spin will make the paper filp up away from the gear , ccw will make the paper flip down.

Does the CC ESC work with a 1s pack---I don't recall of the top of my head, even though I have both a Phoenix 10 and a Thunderbird 8 (or something close to 8).

Phoenix 10 is 2-4 as far as I can see http://www.castlecreations.com/products/phoenix-10.html, the XP-7A should do you and the XP-12A works as well (I had a hard time finding XP-7A’s so got the 12A), also the Helimax 10 seems to be used a lot.
