I was worried it would not run smooth enough, eventually stop and create flat spots or just melt away. The SLS material is just safe up to 80C. But so far no problems. And yeah, I dig the white "dish" look also

Beautiful autumn day yesterday, finally managed to get some video. Boring flight, I´m quite rusty after a month of pause, but shows that the pulley is indeed what the doctor ordered.

After a dumb thumb I´m out of 360 blades, so this is with SAB 350s. They do not have enough pop with the 13T pinion. Headspeeds are 2100/2250/2400.

Mini Protos with 3D printed tail pulley (4 min 48 sec)

EDIT: Just realized that I can´t embed HD video with my Vimeo account. To watch a non potatophone version you´ll have to klick the title which links to the original video.

That's a really colourful flying site! I like to fly at 1950rpm on 325mm blades sometimes, the tail is as expected not perfect at that speed but does the job. Looks like it this works very well

200 rpms more for same feel at the sticks seems correct, but I think the Aligns felt better. Waiting for replacements ...

Wow, VERY nice flying! I love the smooth style and transitions, and did not find that boring at all.

Thank you Chris, I have to break my right cyclic/ left rudder preference though.

We all have a "comfortable" direction, don't we? I almost always roll to the right, and I always do half piros with a right-stir, left rudder. Yet when just doing piros, like on a pushback, I usually go right!

The brain is a marvelous thing.

I should try my hands on NASCAR, I´d be unbeatable as long as it goes around clockwise
