Microheli 450EX Canopy/Boom Cover Review
Here's my review:
1) Packaging: Very nice. Both parts wrapped individually. 2) Paint quality: Was almost perfect. I found two very small paint flaws on the canopy. I had to look VERY close to find them. So really a non issue. 3) Tail cover Fitment: I sanded a VERY small amount near the tail case. It was not perfectly flat at the end. Not a big deal but I am OCD. I had to use longer screws with washers behind the tail fin so it would not be at an angle when tightened down. Longer screws with spacers in the kit would be nice. 4) Canopy Fitment: The canopy has plenty of room up front. It is a little loose on the canopy posts. Either smaller grommets or another method of keeping the canopy is next on my list. At the back of the canopy where the two sides meet there is a 3/8" gap. Not sure what I'm going to do to get a better fit. 4) Boom Braces: With these being removed they include two screws w/washers to replace the screws in the frame. A nice touch but they are Phillips so I just put the stock screws back in. So overall I am happy with my purchase and would buy again. If the kit had longer tail fin screws w/spacers, Allen screws instead of Philips, and a better fit at the rear of the canopy it would be perfect. Of course I'm OCD so you might not even care. Just wanted to let everyone know my experience with this product. Enjoy the pics

Since the body kit is for the Forza 450EX, I'm sure there's more room under the canopy now.

Sweet! How's the visibility in the air?
It looks like the boom cover might be holding the canopy open. I think I could live with that. |

Thx for all the comments. This was my first review of a product and I wanted to make sure I covered all the bases. Still looking for alternative canopy mounting options. Feel free to post suggestions.

I have a pretty good solution to get rid of gap and make it more secure! I used a piece of velro tape cut in half then cut a piece of velcro off a old strap the same length . Put the velcro tape on the rear of the canopy one piece on each side of gap then squeeze together and attach the other piece across the gap holding it together! Pic below! Works great!

I think I will try that on the inside. Not sure about room though. I still think there has to be a canopy post that has a screw, pin, or ball (RC booya) that will work.
