Default Need Tail Help - Not holding

Hello,

I am having issues with my Outrage Velocity 50...

I recently set up my helicopter to be flybarless - that part seems to be working fine.

However, the tail upgrade does not seem to be working correctly. What should I do to properly configure and set it up? Is there a Finless video on this? One friend told me I may need to use some sort of mix on my radio.

I am hoping to get this working properly for the next XFC so I can perform the 100% tail in funnel:

Did you balance the paddles? Perhaps KBDD paddles will be the cure?

I think that as long as everything is mechanically centered, and your linkages in the tailrotor are of equal length, you should be good. Is the tailrotor tracking properly?

Wurger,

I can see one problem right away-shouldn't you have KBDD Paddles on that assembly?

Well for starters.. the tail rotor flybar paddles must swing upwards into the rotor wash, you have them on backwards.. Hopefully you've removed the gyro at this point, it is not needed anymore. it should look similar to the tail on my 90.. it holds incredibly well.. far better tail stability than when I used electronics.

I assume you actually installed the blade bolts before spooling up, right?

I seem to recall that particular upgrade requires trailing edge control, not leading edge as shown in your pictures...

well there's ya problem right there.

your paddles are on backwards.

I think you should go with flybarless paddles, they'll work a lot nicer.

OK, easy.. You'll need a vice and a big pair of pliers ... (You can substitute a friend with his/her own set of big-ass pliers fo the vice if you don't have one)

Stick one paddle in the vice and clamp it down securely with the TR flybar vertical. Now grab the other paddle with the pliers. Grab the nose of the heli and swing it 180 degrees. Remove the pliers and unclamp the vice. Go fly.

Better, but you appear to be missing one blade bolt... You could probably get by with a bent paper clip or maybe CA a toothpick or shish-ke-bob skewer in there..
