Hirobo Status???
Don't get me wrong, I love my Hirobo machines to bits, I have an SDX and a DH edition Turbulence D3 V1.
However, I am sure this issue has been raised plenty of times, but Its now 2016. Is Hirobo picking the stay in Japan in route and becoming a gentleman's / boutique / fanboy / cult brand? For me this hobby is not just about smacking the crap out of your helicopter like a maniac. I highly respect the civilised gentleman's sports flying, flying a few relaxing circuits, and F3C. To me this is the route which Hirobo plans to stick to. The other day I went to the Hirobo website, it looks like the English edition is down. The Japanese one is up, but it looks like they are still flogging of the Shuttle. The only mainstream person helicopter I see is the SDX and Freya. Both are internal combustion. And the only thing I have seen new is the Eagle 3EP WC SSL II. Unless your doing F3C, any mainstream flyer person will pick a Goblin or Mikado over it. Look at JR, they have been keeping up with the times, 3 blades heads, along with SAB goblin etc. So your thoughts? What does Hirobo intend to do? and where do you think its going? |

This is what makes Hirobo all their money:
https://www.hirobo.co.jp/group/mc/i-factory.php The R/C side of things is just to keep the machines running for more hours. Unless something drastic happens, I doubt they will make anything new going forward. |
