mx400 helimax motor hot
I've always was using a aign 430l motor in my mx400. It had smoke come out of it once so i put the helimax
2580 6 pole motor in it. I'm using a cc35 with the latest software. Also a thunderpower 2100. I use set headspeed in governor mode, seems to be flying around good but doing loops even with 2600 headspeed seem week over the top. The biggest problem is this motor is running so hot even at 2400 rpm headspeed and stock 14 tooth gearing it is heating up the aluminum frame, all around the motor and even the lowest part of the frame. I put an align heat sink on it. Still frame is getting hot. I puffed 1 thunderpower 2100 it got real hot before i put it in governor mode to keep at a set speed. The battery is still getting hotter than i like if i fly the full 7 minutes and that is just flying around. |
