Yes - I have the CIU-2 - Very poor distribution of drivers and software
The software is not wonderful and there is no documentation on some of the important settings

I used the GY520 on a S9256 tail servo with the factory settings - it was excellent
I did select 3D mode via the button programming
The piro consistency is wonderful

I had a small issue with tail drift, just needed to refit the gyro 90-degrees out from original position and it worked faultlessly.

I've got mine on a spectra G (biggest heli at the field with the smallest gyro available) using a 9254 servo and it's very crisp as standard. loving it lots.

I have two. The one on the Raptor 50 works great. However the one on the AXE 400 had awful tail wag. But in all fairness it has S3114 analog servos. I think the gyro is so sensitive that it was responding to a vibration. It is now going on a Raptor 90.

Default icw BLS251

I install this gyro in Logo 400 in combination with BLS251. It is really excellent. The servo is indeed very fast . Beside, setting up the gyro is easy. You don't need CIU-2 at all.

Just use the push bottom and counting the number of flashes / colours. That simple is that . In fact, this gyro is much easyer to set up then teh CSM and spartan gyro's.

Well it is no different than the spartan to set up if you are trying to dial everything in perfectly. The default settings work ok but if you want to get rid of all bounce, tail kicks and any other issues you are going to have to tweak it carefully. Reading this forum gives the impression this gyro is plug and play and it's not on my heli.

If all the mechanical stufs are set up correctly, you still dont need any tweeking. In fact, you should use the gain/gear values and the D/R % correctly setup, and there setting are done in your TX.

Not my experience with the 520. Sorry. I have everything set up perfectly but there are bounces out of pyro stops and the tails kicks in high power moves. The gain setting in the tx only effects hunting not bounces. That has to be dialed out in the software. If you don't have any bounce in your heli setup good for you. Obviously default settings work for some setups and not others. They wouldn't offer programmability if this wasn't the case.
