Spin 8500 is the way to go. More torque and doesn't get as warm, and its built better. It seems like a higher quality motor.

I have both the spin 8000kv and the lynx 1101 8350kv and am wondering how many people that have used both of these motors, which one did you like best? I am leaning toward the spin motor. Seems like the lynx is hard on my batteries.

The Spin is WAY harder on batteries. That thing will eat a 500mAh battery in 3 minutes. I get 5:00 of 3D with the Lynx. The Lynx is much easier on batteries. It also barely gets warm vs. the Spin which gets pretty dang warm after hard 3D.

I have run the spin 8k and 8.5k, both are battery killers. My spin 8500 on a stretch is good for about 3:15. My lynx with a 450mah is good for about 4 mins
