"No, I didn't RAK. I decided against building it out due to parts."
I can understand that. I keep some parts for it, but only fly it a few times a year (I don't think if flew at all in 2014).

Very interesting fully enclosed clutch since there is no cooling fan! Funny part is the canopy makes me want to build it. I have a new V2 canopy with the red paint. Looks cool.
I figure I might grab a 7HV head when these guys starting updating their 7HV's to Chronos heads. John, "Mercuriell" said he has anything I would need for the cost of shipping (from "down unda")

I would take John up on that!
The Odin with the 7HV head really flies well! If you do it, talk to me about main shaft length. Some have had issues with resonance due to running the main shaft too short.

Affirmative. Will do.
I must say, though, that Chronos is oozing with appeal. I may have my own 7HV head to donate to it eventually!

I sure wish I could get a 3D+ . I have an OS 55HZ-R DRS with a polished/port job that is fresh and like new to power it.

That is what they want for the FBL. I have spoken to the guy, he says he is eating it on those kits as it is... He is never gonna sell them with his logic.

Right. I don't need another heli that badly. I'd sooner sell my tuned OS55 HZ-R DRS with enhanced ports and new bearings.
For that much dough, I'd prefer to upgrade my 7HV to Chronos status.

Being an NZ dealer is likely the reason for the higher cost. It's unfortunate for him to be saddled with the price difference and even worse if he has to hold onto the kits for a lengthy stint, but hopefully they end up in a happy owners' hands someday. I think if I were to plant mine and was feeling giddy about keeping one around I'd pony up the cash to buy a new kit because, frankly, they're worth it IMHO (although nobody is really into paying more than they have to). I just picked up two cases of Byron 30% and a newer Hyper 55, so I'm in it for the long haul on mine, but if it becomes a rekit I think I'm in to the Mostro 90.

He provides free shipping on kits. I still think that is a bit steep seeing as not all parts are still available for the model, including some imperatives that have no viable replacement as of now.

My recollection was that Compass started dropping parts stock before they discontinued the model. Luke doesn't love nitro. ...LOL

I just spotted this listing on Ebay UK earlier, in case it might be of interest:
