Tail gear slider movement

I'm getting the tail slider moving sideways which affects the amount of rudder movement. I've put a micro heli tail gear case on, the smaller tail gear moves sideways a fraction too, thereby not always being in contact with the main tail gear.
Any suggestions or ideas how to fix gratefully received please.

Check the flanged bearings in the tail case sides, if they are sloppy the tail shaft will have lateral movement.

Also if the center hole in the small gear is worn the tail shaft will have lateral movement.

If the collar on the left side of the tail case is not secured in the correct position the tail shaft will have lateral movement. Also make sure the small taper is up against the bearing, not the larger flat side.

Another thing to look for is the tail slider bearing, if it is sloppy your tail pitch will vary causing an intermittent wag.

If all these things check out, try sliding the tail boom in or out of the frame slightly to adjust the gear mesh. You want it to be smooth spinning without binding.
