Default Very interesting findings........

SOO....I had a customer come over with a 3g system which was bought in the for sale forum and he could not get it to power up.

I reflashed with the newest firmware and reinstalled. Still nothing.

Next i proceeded to only plug in the 3 wire plug to give it power.....nothing still.

I plugged ALL of the plugs in ,tail and gain included and ........NOTHING.

Upon further observation I noted that the pit plug had been damaged and that the wire and pin no longer locked into place. The lock portion of the 3 wire servo plug was removed and missing. The pin and wire were NOT seating in all the way and there was NO CONNECTION being made.

I took and old servo connection and replaced the damaged one .

I Plugged back in ALL of the servo connectors from the 3g and VOILA!!!!

Power and function were restored.

End story, the 3 g needs to have ALL plugs in place to boot itself and if not, will exhibit what appears to be a NO POWER condition. (could this be the cause of so many 3g is DEAD posts)? Who knows.....just thought these findings were interesting enough to post up here.

This was a NEW one even for me. Hope this helps someone. PEACE!

Nice find Jonda. I would have never guessed. I checked mine and it will not power up unless it sees a signal on all three cyclic input channels. Servo's are optional. Had a 3G, receiver and battery sitting next to me, my check was not inspired by doubt

On my 550 with a castle 100, the internal bec wasn't enough power and I was having issues with the 3G registering correclty. I put the pro bec on it fixed the problem.
