Notchy Bls251 after rebuild
Long story short. I crashed my 700. Stripped a rudder servo gear. I bought a gear set and replaced them all. I tested the servo and it feels real notchy while moving. I don't remember if it did that before. Has anyone experienced this?

It should be fairly smooth there are 3 plastic gears that need to be replaced as you know and make sure to remove and replace the old grease incase theres a tiny plastic chips hidden in it this could bring a heli down if it gets in the gears and jams, ask me how I know. Notchy is usually over tightened case screws, crash damaged bearing on the spline shaft etc.

Futaba tail servos with a low gear ratio are always notchy as moved by hand. They should be completely smooth in normal operation. Which did you mean ?

In comparison, cyclic servos such as bls/253/351 with 2metal+1plastic+metal output shaft never have such uneven feel as you hand turn them. |
