Default Time to Try 500 blades on 480XX

After my last crash I figured I'd added the 500 boom belt grips and push rod and try the 480 on a set of Sab 500 blades I have. Its crazy windy today but we'll see how it flies.
Overall no surprises with the conversion everything fits like it belongs. Funny seeing it with SAB blades though

Funny I do take a lot of videos. Hopefully I look back one day and see how bad I once was Overall it handled pretty well. It's still hard to say since it was 20-30mph gusty wind. I'll have to take it back out tomorrow.

I'm interested to hear your verdict flying on a normal less windy day.

Did you lower the rpm?

I much prefer lighter loading on my heli's, but the stock 480 for me flies super with the lighter 2600 and 3300 packs.

I have 510 Halo blades on my 480. Currently at 1900 rpm. For me it flies great.

Had a blast flew 16 packs this morning.
Tail holds great with cyclone 80mm's

I did the 500 boom no clearance issues. But I've seen people with the 80mm tail and 505's with no problem on the stock boom.
4:00-4:30 at 2500rpm with 3700Mah lipos. Finishing off at 3.73v per cell

Ah awesome. Idk I like the stock setup with my 6.5 min flight times. Do you like it more? Or is it so you can use 500 blades?

I do like it more it gives it a nice punch and the tail feels even better with the 500 boom. When I flew yesterday at 2300rpm I was at 6:18 for the flight time so I guess it depends what you like your head speed at.

Quite an illusion that photo. At first I was wondering why your computer screen is on the floor. I thought the black void bottom right was an arm chair, and only realized everything was on a desk when I saw the curvature of the desk on the left.

That's funny you're the second person who commented on my desk pictures shame the grain isn't going in the same direction.

Did you set the heli like that deliberately? The main blades obscures the gap between edge of the desk and the bottom of the cupboard. Even the curvature of the desk is aligned with the curve near the root of the other blade.

Nope just by accident. Took the pic after I was done repairing it from the crash.
