Hey, compliments to you all for your "birds" . I had the maiden flight of my 550 pro dfc 2 weeks ago and working already on a custom canopy. As soon as possible I will enter this "hall of fame".

I like the colour scheme of your 550. I was thinking of getting the 450l what's your opinion of it?

The 450l is great! Tons of power. Flies like a much larger heli compared to my other 450's.
I dont have many flights with it yet because of the weather. So far very happy with it. Its a great kit for the money.

Nice 550. is that the new 550 pro dfc with the new canopy? ive had mine for a few years. it started out as a 550 v1 and has slowly been upgraded to what you see now. I put the trex 700 landing gear on mine. its wider and sits lower much more stable when landing. good for tatty auto's. I think it looks better. I put the 520 revolutions on mine. what do you think to the new align fbl blades? haven't tried them yet.

Yep, that's the new canopy. I didn't realize the v3 had a different color scheme until I got the kit in the mail. I like it though. As far as the 550mm blades, I moved up from a 450 dfc so they feel gigantic to me. (I fly alone so I've never really seen other "big" helis in person.) I typically fly sport at lower head speeds with some inverted thrown in for fun so I can't speak for hardcore 3d flight but I like the helicopter a lot.
