Default New firmware 117

Firmware update V.117 for HC X-series available

It is always recommended to update older units to current firmware!
Please use the automatic update procedure in the PC software.

Included with this release are the following improvements:
• Improved filtering of cyclic response / smoothing of horizon modes
• Elevator filter slightly more tolerant in adjusting the optimum gain
• Optimised production handling (sensor calibration programming process, especially HC3-SX)
• Slight adaptations in factory default for improved „out of the box“ performance of head and tail (settings based on long time experience): P-portion (Tail Gyro) 15, former 13; Elevator filter (RIGID) 2, former 0; P-portion (RIGID) 35, former 30

Note: Update on V.117 does not change existing parameter values !

Corresponding PC software V5.2: --> Download
• Contains new factory default settings
• Additional language option ‘Dutch’

Hi,

I've made the update of the firmware on my HC-XBase and the software but the P-portion (RIGID) still remains 30 instead of 35.

I've tryed several times to reset the values to default but nothing to do. At first when I reset the values, I've got 35 for P-Gain but not the sign "=", then I try to write, impossible... the sign stays "not ="... If I read from the module, the P-Gain comes back to 30 and then I get the sign "=".

Following all the process (step by step) to configure the module doesn't change the problem...

Is it normal for HC-3Base or it's an issue ?

Hi,

I've tryed many many timesssssss... And the problem is still there.

It would be very kind if someone with HC3-Xbase could confirm this point... (or not....)

Have a good day

Hello Lionel,

yes, what you experiences is no fault, but normal. The update procedure should not change any parameters, as systems that are already setup to helis and pilot's liking must not be changed.
We are thinking about a solution. But it should not be a big issue, or do you have issues with the setup so far that make the P-portion needed?

Regards,
Joachim

Hello,

Thanks for the explanations. It's not a issue at all for me... as it just fly perfectly with my mini-protos and a value of 30 instead of 35.

I was a little be anxious at the first flight with the new version, wondering if all parameters were OK (If P-portion is not correctly set, could something else that I can't see be also wrong ???) It was just paranoïa

I'm quite new with this module but I'm really impressed how easy the setup is and the "feeling" in flght... Very good job you've made there !
