Exclamation You are not understanding what I mean

Guys! What I need to change is the shaft that runs off the main gear that turns the belt that turns the tail rotor. Its the front one that connects to the bottom gear thats under the main gear that the motor turns. Any easy ways to do it other than tearing down the whole heli? Thanks Ed

Ed, simply remove the 3 ballinks on the swashplate, screw out the jesus bolt under the main gear, and pull out the whole head with the mainshaft included. Only the link on the elevator servo can be a bit annoying, with most helis you can get the mainshaft off without removing the long balscrew in the swashplate or the anti-rotation guide, the antirotation pin will come out of the guide when lifting the head with a little fiddling. Hope this helps. Otherwise you need to try to explain more clearly, we really try to help you. Oh yes, after that, your main gear will simply fall out of the frame. Done. Takes 5 minutes at the most, most of us do it in 10 seconds, lol. It's only removing 3 ballinks with a ballink plier, and removing 1 single screw.

For reference ED its called the tail auto rotation gear, saying there is a shaft and a pulley that turns the tail is discribing the tail drive gear and pully that sits behind the main gears, might of been easier to just ask how to take the main gear out as its one assembly.
We will always try to help you or any one else with a problem but we can only work with what we are given understand that lanuage can be an issue with some but just try to be as clear as possible in the explanations of problems and it will save you frustration
