Default Heli drifts in Self Level Mode

Hi,

I have setup my Trex 500 DFC pro and used a EFL head for the heli.

In Normal mode the heli is rock solid and when is switch to Self Level mode the heli drifts.

Anything i should do that i have missed.

The helicopter is rock solid in your normal mode, because its inclination is enough to right that it counteracts the right thrust of the tail rotor. Which means that it is NOT technically leveled.

It may actually fully level with the horizon hold activated. Which will allow drift. (The Demon does not have accelerometers)

But here is the interesting point: There is also NO level within the Demon. It calculates "level" by finding a position that has the least roll to it. It finds that sweet spot where the heli will teeter between spontaneous roll and pitch in all directions. The point at which the heli is balanced in all cyclic directions is the point at which the unit considers itself leveled.

This balance will be affected by sideways thrust. And thus drift.

There is a parameter called: Neutral Axis on the rigid menu. It will adjust your inclination during self-leveling. Try messing with it.
