The factory is currently producing a new batch of blade grips. They should start shipping out at the end of the week.

Okay im officially mad, this is crap I have had this heli for a month now and after three weeks I still have no replacement head. I was told last week it shipped and still nothing. Crap customer service will make me take my business else where, why would I invest my money in someone product when they don't care about how the customer feels? Okay I the rant is over back to waiting, but I will not order from carbonxtreme again. Having only a web based email system that takes for ever to get a response is just to much hassle. Guess i should have done more research about this company.

Sad ...........
Sorry to hear that you are stuck with half a heli. This blows. There are other Helis out there that have great support. Just saying..........

Just tried to build my head on my 2nd bath mostro.......head completely locks when you tighten the spindle bolts.

It actually locked up so hard it ruined the radial bearings in the grips. They were smooth as butter, now they are crazy notchy.

Not sure where to go from here...

I would suggest you send them back to CarbonExtreme, and if your in a rush to get it built go to AMain and just buy a new set. Of course, the new set might be messed up as well. This is why manufactures should preassemble the components, even if we need to take it apart to grease and glue, at least we will get parts that bolt together. Geezz what a shame man, sorry to hear about this.

This now does not seem to be an isolated issue. I am surprised there has not been an official notice from Avant to pay special attention to this. Also show what is considered the normal amount of newly assembled blade grip stiffness. Compared to to other head assemblies I have put together over the years the Mostro electric and nitro heads seem to have a higher level of initial damper compression.

FenderBean is the head assembly you received silky smooth or does it have the slight stiffness from the newly compressed damper set?

The factory has traced the problem and found that it only affected 12 kits.

I would like to know this as well. I figured that the head would have a good bit of preload, but mine was completely locked. I could turn it, but it was obvious that a servo never would be able to. Not to mention it ruined the radial bearings in the grips, so without a doubt that's not as designed.

I'm sending my head back today. I asked that they ship a new head out to me today as well, as I'd love to be able to work on the kit on my days off next week. Hope they do.

Avantrc. I got my kit through Amain so carbonxtreme wasn't a choice.

Crossing my fingers that they send me a new head out today.

What parts did you guys send back?

After identifying that the problem with my grips was what seemed to be a incomplete machining surface where one of the bearings was seated. I just returned the grips.
