Guys I am thinking about dumping my Logo 500 and replacing it with a Heli that will be cheaper to fix. I am just curious how the cost of the Outrage parts will compare to the Logo parts? Don't get me wrong the Logo has been the best flying Heli I have ever owned but I find myself holding back to much with it for fear of putting it into the ground.

I know Charley well enough to say it will be a low cost repair like the g5. When you can stuff it so bad that half the frame including braces need replaced an its under $100 to fix (my g5 hit with a 90 class thud in hard dirt) that's some good pricing. I'm selling off allot of my heli fleet to make room for the outrage line. To put it simple my trex's are gone with 2 x-cell's on the block and the only things staying (other then my g5) are my b400 (actuly belongs to my web store), A trex 600, and my Hornet. I want to stretch the 600 to a 90 class elec. My raptor will get used to test some cnc stuff then get sold and the 2 x400s are going too. When I got the g5 I had 16 helis (omg no room) and I just need room for the outrage stuff. I will be adding to my planes though. At the rate charley is working with 2 of each outrage as I plan I will need all the room I can make.

Raydee...although pricing has not been completely determined as of yet...the kit and parts will be very competitively priced...I don't have a clue what Logo Parts go for...but I can pretty much imagine we will be very nicely priced compared to Mikado...

Yeah Mikado parts are very expensive for me so I will def be looking to build one of these kits when they are ready. If the heli's flies as nice as my Logo then I will have to part with it sadly.

Yes Mikado stuff is expensive! I have a Logo 6003D and love it. I can't afford to crash it so I baby it. My Knight 600E is what I abuse! Any 450 gets terrible punishment from me.

I will most likely replace the Compass Knight with an Outrage equivalent. I think an Outrage 600E is coming!!!! Fingers crossed!

I just want to get my vote / wish in: I want to be able to use a 10S A123 "brick" pack (like I run in my Swift) on the Outrage 550.

Dimensions: 70mm x 130mm x 55mm, weight 775g

I'll just cross my fingers that the gearing will work out with my Neu 1910/1.5Y.

Chris,

This is current battery area specs 70 x 50 x 170-200mm(length is measured by the space in frame) you could fit a pack approx 230mm long
main gear is 140t .7mod

Thanks Charley!

Only 5-6mm shy in width! Darn. Looks like I'd have to reconfigure the packs "shotgun" style to fit them in there (like the Logo guys who run A123).

Having just planted my L500, I'm watching here. The $200 for the head alone led me to just buying a new kit. One crash, and a mild one, really, at $500 plus blades. OW.

John I read your thread over on the Mikado forum and it made me think real hard about selling the 500 for something that will be a little more cost effective to fly.
