Default Futaba GY501 setup/servo on Radikal G20

I have an older, never used GY 501 installed on my Radikal. The recommended servos is a 9205. Right now I have a simpler Futaba digital servo installed, but not sure if I should change it before I maiden this heli.
I am not into aggressive maneuvers, just an advanced beginner and I planned on upgrading while I advance on my training.

Any other relatively fast Futaba digital servo would serve fine, just make sure you set the gyro for the proper settings for the servo you are to use, be it a 720 or 1520 mS.

have two of those.

Originally they were used with 9404's. Which were fine when I was learning and didn't need anything fast. Eventually I upgrade/modified them to 601 and now use one with a 9254 and the other with a BLS254. They seem to be much happier with the upgrade and faster servo.

For sure.... a gyro system can only be as good as its' weakest link. If one uses a top of the line 760 servo it will improve the performance of any gyro capable of working with them. Fortunately with the 520 gyro, one can use lesser servos when the performance is not such an important requirement and later upgrade to a better servo as one's proficiency improves.
